Built in 1844, Penzance Promenade is a wide, level walkway that runs along Penzance Beach.

To get to the promenade, turn right out of Wymering Guest House, then left into Queen Street. The promenade is a little way down this road.
Cornwall's only promenade offers magnificent views of the sea, St Michael's Mount and the coastlines stretching from Mousehole to the Lizard Peninsula. There are also plenty of benches from which to enjoy the view.
The Promenade was built in the Victorian era when Penzance was a fashionable health resort, for those wishing to dress up in their finery and take the invigorating sea air as a tonic to health.
